To make the Season of the Switch the most magical moment in fall 2026, we've contacted some of our favorite artists to bewitch you with music that swings hard and inspiring classes on partner connection, spontaneity and interaction in switch dancing. One of our goals with Season of the Switch is to strengthen and support a more inclusive lindy hop scene in Europe. The DJs are totally homegrown: they are either part of Munich's very own parent non-profit Boogie Bären München e.V. or DJs from communities in neighboring cities.
Teachers
Three couples of switch teachers are coming to Munich to enrich Season of the Switch with their grooves, steps and moves.

Marion Quesne has been sharing her passion for Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz as a teacher for several years, and also works as a choreographer and performer. She also wrote a Masters thesis is entitled ‘Social codes and identity roles in the Lindy Hop: transgressive narratives’. Her work examines the cultural appropriation, history and identity of Lindy Hop, as well as its social roots. Her approach, fueled by her work, helps dancers to appreciate Lindy Hop as a living cultural art form, rather than just a series of steps.
Sylvain Guiheneuc is a multifaceted artist. As well as being a Lindy Hop dancer and instructor, he works as a graphic and motion designer and photographer. Together with Marion, he co-founded Saumur Swing and Jumpin’Jazz, where they teach regular classes and organise monthly parties, sharing their love of jazz music and dance. Their focus is on musicality, connection, improvisation, and personal expression. Sylvain aims to help dancers feel comfortable on the dance floor and have fun with their partner. He encourages authenticity (“bring your personality to the dance floor”), rather than just predefined moves.

Thanh Thanh Nguyễn is a Lindy Hop dancer and teacher who has always been connected to movement in different forms. After discovering Lindy Hop in 2016, she was part of the Saigon Swing Cats in Vietnam, where she learned about the African American roots of jazz dance. Later, in Europe, she broadened her perspective through contemporary dance, strengthening her connection to swing dance and funky grooves. Now based in Paris, she shares her dance wherever the rhythms take her. In her classes, she teaches authentic jazz movements while encouraging self-awareness, improvisation, and personal expression.
Romain Gimenez is a Lindy Hop dancer and teacher originally from southern France. He discovered Lindy Hop in 2014 after moving to Paris and quickly fell in love with this social dance. His teaching focuses on creating fun and challenging content, grounded in sharing sensations and experience. For him, Lindy Hop is about listening and understanding between partners, leaving space for improvisation and musical interpretation. Alongside his regular classes, he is committed to making Lindy Hop accessible to wider audiences, particularly in rural areas, and to sharing the richness of its history and cultural relevance.

Musicians
What's a lindy hop festival without some live music that swings hard?! We're excited to announce:

The Hop Sh Bam Connection is joining Season of the Switch for some excellent swing jazz from Belgium, brilliantly guided by Marie-Anne Standaert (trumpet and vocals).
The Hop Sh Bam Connection, founded in 2011, is one of the early Belgian bands of the modern swing revival and has been an active part of the European swing scene for over 15 years, performing extensively at swing dance events, festivals and jazz clubs across Europe.
Inspired by the great ballrooms of the 1930s, the band plays authentic swing from the 1920s–1950s, with a strong focus on groove, flow and real connection between musicians and dancers.
Whether it’s Lindy Hop, Balboa, Slow Bal, Shag or Blues, the music is shaped live to support different dance styles and energies — offering something for every kind of dancer.
Led by trumpeter and vocalist Marie-Anne Standaert, also an experienced swing dancer and big band leader, and one of the rare female bandleaders on the European swing scene, the band is known for its strong, joyful leadership and its ability to turn every night into a celebration — musical, energetic and deeply connected to the dance floor.
Oh-bop-sh-bam, a-kool-ya-hoo!
Come and move — swing and groove.
